A lot of popular and critical acclaim has been won by Jah Cure or Iyah Cure, as he has continued to release singles in the form of a steady stream. It was preceded by ‘Ghetto Life’ in 2003 and ‘Freedom Blues’ in the year 2005. He recorded and released the music while he was still in prison, where he managed to gain access to the required equipment.

Jah Cure released his album ‘True Reflections…A New Beginning’ merely 3 days after being released from prison, on parole. He served eight years of his fifteen year sentence and was released on July 28, 2007.
